Senior Structural Technician (CAD/REVIT)

Role:

  • As an experienced Structural Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing, designing, assessing, and ensuring the quality delivery of a variety of structural projects.
  • Collaborative working with both internal and external design team members.
  • You will help support and develop the structure team’s project delivery efforts, taking responsibility collaborative working aspects of our projects, leading the way for our team and promoting design innovation and best practices.
  • You’ll collaborate with Architects, construction teams, and other professionals to create safe and efficient structures.
  • You should be confident in communicating with Clients, Contractors, and other Designers.
  • Opportunities to lead and drive forward technical delivery and quality of structural drawings for the office if desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed structural drawings and general arrangements using AutoCAD and related design tools.
  • Reinforced Concrete (RC) detailing. (Preferable)
  • Use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflows / Revit.
  • Working closely with engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions.
  • Demonstrating self-motivation and an organised approach to working independently or within a team.
  • Producing 3D structural detailing drawings if applicable.

Qualifications / Attributes:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications for structural applications.
  • BIM/REVIT experience. Understanding of BIM requirements up to and including Level 2.
  • Experience with RC detailing and use of BIM360 or Viewpoint desirable.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills for clear reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
